Wednesday Kid is the indie solo project of Austin-based, Houston-raised artist Will Derden. Will began making music at the dawn of the pandemic during his senior year in high school and has since matured his sound in the Austin live music scene. Combining folk rock and indie pop influences, the debut single “Metronome” takes the listener on a ride with increasingly dense lyrics and an infectious, upbeat melody that holds you hostage to the very end. 

Wednesday Kid has embedded himself in the local Austin music venues, playing shows at Empire Garage, Hole In The Wall, and the Ballroom At Spiderhouse. His newest release “Like You Are” shows an evolution from the simple folk-pop melodies of his first EP into more indie rock influences.
