Coming up at our next Views and Brews, it’s “Jimmy Smith, Shirley Scott and The Art of Soul.” Join KUT’s Rebecca McInroy, Rabbi and jazz historian Neil Blumofe, and a live jazz quintet featuring Red Young to talk about the role of the B-3 in jazz and what makes it so unique. Where do we exist in the relationship between the sacred and the profane? How can we locate our soul as a force for good out in the world? Views and Brews is free and open to the public, we hope to see you this Tuesday at seven!
