We’re teaming up with our pals at KUTX 98.9 and Nashville’s WMOT Roots Radio 89.5 to throw an epic Americana shindig at the legendary Cactus Cafe, Tuesday, March 12. From swamp-funk to Elton John-inspired piano jams, “T for Texas, T for Tennessee” will feature some of the best Americana artists from Austin and beyond.
“T for Texas, T for Tennessee” is free and open to all ages. Doors open at noon.

1:20 pm Austin singer-songwriter and fiddler Carrie Rodriguez
2:20 pm rule-breaking roots musician Carson McHone from Austin
3:10 pm musician Ben Dickey, who portrayed Texas Singer-songwriter Blaze Foley, in the movie Blaze.
4:00 pm Texas Piano Man Robert Ellis
4:50 pm American singer-songwriter Chris Shiflett who plays lead guitar with the Foo Fighters
The Cactus Cafe, celebrating its 40th anniversary, is located in the Texas Union on the University of Texas at Austin campus (2247 Guadalupe St.).

The Cactus Cafe is a live music venue and bar in the historic Texas Union on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin. Located in Austin, Texas, a city frequently referred to as “the live music capital of the world,” a number of well-known artists have played in the Cactus, and Billboard Magazine named it as one of fifteen “solidly respected, savvy clubs” in the United States, “from which careers can be cut, that work with proven names and new faces.”
