Doors: 8pm Show: 8:30pm General Admission: $15 in advance and $18 at the door

Sara Hickman:  Sara Hickman has garnered recognition as a captivating singer/songwriter, vocalist and musician, with artists such as Shawn Colvin, the Flatlanders, Robert Earl Keen, Willie Nelson and many others covering her songs. On her Kirtland Records debut release Shine, Hickman delivers another memorable collection of 10 songs that will take the listener on an intense journey destined to evoke a broad spectrum of emotions.

As Rolling Stone puts it, “Tuneful, clever and carefully observed, Sara Hickman’s material has all the strengths expected of a contemporary Texas songwriter, plus one more – whimsy.” Sensitive and fearless, Shine is another testament to Hickman’s diverse and emotional songwriting capabilities that appeal to a wide range of audiences. Fun, upbeat tracks such as “Tasty Sweet” and “My Cocky Friend” transition to clever observations on today’s society with “Selfish Freak” and “Trouble With Boxes,” giving way to the spiritual, insightful “Rapture” and “You Are Not Alone” before coming full circle with the celebratory title track.

Don Henry: Grammy Award winner Don Henry has written songs recorded by Ray Charles, Patti Page, Conway Twitty, Gene Watson, B.J. Thomas, Blake Shelton, Lonestar, and Miranda Lambert, to name a few. He’s played with performers as diverse as Joey Ramone at New York’s famous Bottom Line and Keith Urban at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Cafe. Kathy Mattea’s version of “Where’ve You Been” won Don and co-writer Jon Vezner a Grammy as well as song of the year honors from ACMs, the CMAs, and the Nashville Songwriters Association International. The first song in country music history to be awarded all four honors in the same year. Miranda Lambert had a big hit in 2013 with Don and Phillip Coleman’s song “All Kinds Of Kinds,” with Don singing background vocals on the record. Don tours extensively as a solo performer, and he’s also a member of The DonJuans with Jon Vezner and The Waymores with Tom Kimmel and Sally Barris. www.donhenry.com

Jon Vezner: Grammy award-winning songwriter, Nashville based, Jon Vezner is a tunesmith of rare sensitivity and dry wit. His catalogue of recorded songs, topped by the poignant “Where’ve You Been,” reflects his straight-to-the heart sensibility and emotional awareness. Vezner weaves the particulars of his own feelings with the lives of people he has known into universal themes that deeply touch listeners’ emotions. Vezner was honored with a Grammy for “Best Country Song” and the Nashville Songwriters Association “Song of the Year” in 1990, for “Where’ve You Been”, the true story of Vezner’s grandparents, co-written with Don Henry, and recorded by Kathy Mattea. “Where’ve You Been” was also honored as “Song of the Year” by the Country Music Association (CMA) and the Academy of Country Music (ACM). Jon’s catalogue of songs reads like a songbook itself, interpreted and recorded by the greats in the business as varied as the songs themselves; artists such as Martina McBride, Janis Ian, John Mellencamp, Nancy Griffith, Faith Hill, Clay Walker, Diamond Rio and Native American recording artist, Bill Miller. Other co-penned songs recorded by Kathy Mattea include “A Few Good Things Remain,” “Time Passes By,” “Whole Lotta Holes,” “Slow Boat,” “Who’s Gonna Know,” “All Roads to the River,” “The Innocent Years,” “Calling My Name,” “Trust Me,” and most recently the touching ballad “Ashes in the Wind.” Singles written by Vezner include “If I Didn’t Love You” by Steve Warriner, “Has Anybody Seen Amy” by John and Audrey Wiggins, “Then What” by Clay Walker, and “You’re Gone” by Diamond Rio.
