Kerrville Folk Festival University Student Songwriters Competition

E+E Headliners is excited to present The Kerrville Folk Festival University Student Songwriters Competition. The annual event, held in conjunction with the Cactus Cafe and KUT, showcases some of the University’s most talented student songwriters and stage musicians. Our showcasing acts were selected by the Kerrville Folk Festival from a pool of submissions and will perform for the audience and a panel of judges. The winner will earn an opportunity to perform at this summer’s Kerrville Folk Festival.

Students are encouraged to attend and support local music. A showcase of UT student songwriters on the legendary Cactus Cafe stage.

Cactus Cafe

The Cactus Cafe is a live music venue and bar in the historic Texas Union on the campus of The University of Texas at Austin. Located in Austin, Texas, a city frequently referred to as “the live music capital of the world,” a number of well-known artists have played in the Cactus, and Billboard Magazine named it as one of fifteen “solidly respected, savvy clubs” in the United States, “from which careers can be cut, that work with proven names and new faces.”
