Born in the midwest, Christy Hays has traveled the world many times over. A lover of fellow musicians, run down towns, feather collecting and impermanence, Hays is a vagabond. She has shared the stage with Hayes Carll, Bruce Robison and Kelly Willis and Sturgill Simpson, to name a few. Hays’ full length album Drought was released in 2012 and will be followed by her solo EP O Montana that is slated to be released December of 2014. Hays’ has been compared to the sounds of Lucinda Williams, Sun Volt, Mazzy Star, Kathleen Edwards and Loretta Lynn. With multiple tours under her belt along with international dates, it’s likely she will appear in a town near you. Hays has a dynamic band that delivers a folk psych rock Americana sound called Christy Hays and Caliche which can be seen regularly in their hometown of Austin, Texas.
